I was a full-time Police Inspector and was looking to retire early. The world of policing was no longer the career I joined. A growing family and elderly parents meant I wanted to be present in everyone’s lives. In mid 2022, I was fortunate enough to be able to retire five years early because of UW. UW gives me massive satisfaction to be able to help others and make a difference in their lives. I provide a high level of service that I would expect for myself and my family. I started UW in 2019 but really got going in the first lockdown of 2020. Fast forward to 2022 and I now run a successful personal training business – but this wouldn't be possible without UW, which is still my main income. It covers my mortgage and bills for the month so whatever I earn additionally can go towards holidays, trips and days away so I can be the ‘yes’ Mum I have always wanted to be. If I can do this, genuinely anyone else can!

I saw it as the perfect opportunity to be a stay-at-home Mum, whilst building a business through helping others in Cambridge. I have built my business by giving a friendly, personal service, relying purely on word-of-mouth recommendations. Being able to help people reduce their outgoings and make an extra income stream around any work and family commitments they have, seemed like the perfect business for me. I can honestly say, I absolutely love it!
