This meant that I was working long hours. I was struggling to see a way out – until I discovered UW 12 years ago. In October 2010 I was offered the opportunity to bring forward my retirement and enjoy more free time and financial freedom by starting a home-based business. In the 12 years that I’ve been involved with UW, I've walked away from full-time employment and I’ve been given the gift of more free time to spend with my amazing partner and three beautiful daughters in our home in Wrexham, North Wales I'm passionate about helping people. I really enjoy being able to save people money on their bills, as I know every penny counts for most people. I have a passion to mentor new people on this amazing business. To have an impact helping others who join, and to achieve more than they think is possible, is so rewarding. The flexibility UW gives me is priceless. I am a single dad, who is lucky enough to share responsibility for my kids 50/50 with their mum. So being able to work this business, in and around my schedule is life changing for me, and my kids. The opportunity that we share with people, to either save money or make money, really can have a positive impact.

I work full-time in construction and started UW when my former energy company went bust: I was hit with a massive bill increase, and my wife was going on maternity pay of a part-time wage. I had to work away to make up the shortfall. I missed out on the family, and had massive dad guilt. UW has given me the finances so I longer have to work away, and it’s also given me back my time with my boys. I tend work it in an evening when my wife’s watching Netflix. And while it’s recently helped us afford our new dream home, it’s the time I’ve got back that’s priceless.
